Prostate Formula contains specific nutrients
to support the prostate. Saw Palmetto contains natural
phytosterols such as beta sitosterol. Beta sitosterol
supports benign prostate hypertrophy by inhibiting DHT
formation. DHT is also believed to be associated with
male pattern baldness. Saw Palmetto is listed in the German
E-Monographs as a remedy for BPH. Beta Sitosterol has
been used to support the symptoms of BPH, or benign prostate
hypertrophy. Pygeum Africanum is an extract from the bark
of an African tree which has been used by tribal bush
shaman as a male tonic. Pygeum has been used for BPH in
men. Pumpkin Seed extract contains plant phytosterols
that are used to increase urinary flow. These three amino
acids L- alanine, L-glycine and L-glutamic acid are found
in normal male prostate secretions. Studies of supplementation
with these three amino acids have shown them to reduce
